Do More with Google Docs

I am a big fan of Google apps. I organize my life with Google Calendar, I stay connected with Gmail, and I store my most important data on Google Drive. I use Google Docs more than I use Microsoft Word, and I teach my students to use it too. Google docs has made my grading paperless, and it has enabled me to never need to accept another I-forgot-my-flash-drive-my-printer-ran-out-of-ink-my-hard-drive-crashed-and-my-computer-explode excuse again.

So, I’m very grateful to my colleague Jade Burris for sharing this article from Edudemic called 10 Things Every Teacher Should Know How To Do With Google Docs. Some of them I already knew about, but a few—like leaving voice comments on student work—were completely new to be. If you already use Google Docs, or if you’re wondering what all the buzz is about, check out this brief article and start honing your Google Fu.
